Community Day Care Learning Center

Kindergarteners are ready to delve deeper into early
learning and prepare for the upcoming elementary
years. The Success for All Foundation’s KinderCorner®
curriculum, which helps
children grow in their language, literacy,
mathematical, social, and thinking abilities, guides
learning in our centers. This research-based
curriculum, aligned with Success for All®
curriculums used by Lawrence Public Schools, helps
prepare students for the transition to the
elementary school. Classroom learning is extended
through field trips and a summer camp experience.
A typical day includes: a healthy breakfast, lunch,
and snack; tooth brushing; Greetings, Readings, and
Writings introductory activities; sharing time and
introduction of weekly thematic concepts; Rhyme Time
with music, movement, songs, and finger plays;
exploration, problem-solving, and interaction at
Learning Labs; 15 Minute Math; gross motor play
(outdoors if possible); Stepping Stones reading
activities; hands-on Math Mysteries; reading and
writing; reflection on the day’s learning; and a
Home Link activity that links learning to life at
home.
A full or partial day program can be coordinated
with parents’ schedules; evening care is available
at Campus Learning Center. A summer program is
available.
Kindergarten classrooms are led by certified, highly
qualified teachers and have 2 teachers with up to 20
students.
